1/29/2026 .... It is with great sadness that we post on the loss of another long time District 19 member Al Malik.
Al started boating in the early 80s with his son Jake and was a constant participant at district races until some health issues over the last few years forced him to step away from the hobby he loved. Many will remember him as the Tootsie Pop guy from his tradition of passing out the treats to fellow racers on race days. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family during this difficult time.

1/12/2026 .... SCHEDULE CHANGE ALERT: Due to a scheduling issue with the parks department in Las Vegas, we were not able to get a permit for the original race date in May. We were able to work with the Tucson Model Boat Club to swap their race date with Vegas' date, so that race will now be April 11-12 and Tucson's race will now be the weekend of May 2-3. The schedule has been updated to reflect the new dates.

1/2/2026 ... It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Gary Moll. Gary was a longtime and valued member of NAMBA District 9, alongside his wife, Nancy. He will be remembered for his dedication, kindness, and the lasting impact he had on our boating community. We extend our heartfelt condolences and prayers to Nancy and their family during this difficult time. May Gary rest in peace; he will be truly missed.

5/10/2025 .... GREAT NEWS! The July San Diego race is on and they have been able to secure overnight parking! This was an amazing job by those hosting the race, let's make sure to sign up and support their efforts. The race will be posted shortly.
