| 06-22-09 .... There is going to be a wedding Saturday, July 11th at Legg Lake near the drivers stand area. The Parks Department has asked that no model boaters use the model boating area after 3:00 PM as a courtesy to the wedding party. |
| 06-22-09 .... To all model boaters who are NAMBA members and use the model boat facilities and have key access to Legg Lake. There was a meeting called this last Thursday at Legg Lake with the Supervisor of Parks and Recreation to talk about some of the issues that are of concern at the model boating drivers stand and surrounding areas. This includes the model boat access from the Edison Easement off of Rosemead Blvd. to Legg Lake. There will be a mandatory meeting this Saturday at 10:00 AM at the Legg Lake drivers stand to go over some of the issues that are concerning the parks department and that concern all model boaters that use the Legg Lake facility. If you have a key to the park, you need to be there. This concerns all of you! Attending will be the Supervisor of Parks and Recreation, Joyce Gibson among others..........Please attend. This notice is also going out as a mass e-mail to all of the models boaters with keys that provided me with e-mail access. Thank you, Kim Grim |

| 06-11-09 .... The Scale Unlimited and Classic Thunderboat points have been posted for the SCSTA club race held last weekend at Prado Park. The R/C Sharks special event race scheduled June 21-21, 2009 at Legg Lake has been cancelled and replaced with the NAMBA Two Lap Oval Time Trials hosted by Seismic Amigos. Legg Lake will be closed the weekend of June 27-28, 2009 for a Fishing Derby. |

| 04-15-09 .... The Las Vegas Mini Mariners Nitro Heat Race on October 10-11, 2009 will be held in Pahrump, Nevada. | 04-07-09 .... Per Whittier Narrows Parks Department Supervisors, Legg Lake will be closed to all radio and remote control activities on Easter Sunday. No exceptions! No Model boats will be allowed to run in the Heat Race or SAW sections of the lake. The flying field and car track will also be closed. |
